Check the over-flow valve on the coffee filter disposal unit. If the reprocessing unit outlet tube got jammed, it could be backing up through the over-flow.

As for worries... Probably none. Depends on if any of our local fauna get at the dregs. With the caffeine concentrations in it, we could have vorpal squirrels on our hands.
