Good point. “Action!”, (and “Reaction!”), is a cautionary tale in the Frankenstein mold.
At least my android was not a horde of robots out to take over the world. She was willing to take over that which was of interest to her, and let the rest of the world go by.
That wasn’t too good for anyone affected by it, but that is the nature of the caution.
Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics don’t work. You can’t teach ethics to a robot. You can only give it purpose.
Be careful what you wish for.

Life is good!
And so are some androids. Data comes to mind. The one Star Trek book I read starred Data, and his new-found ~ um ~ awareness.
Suffice it to say he had several “friends” hanging around him.

Nope. Not right now. More coming though.
Phrase was "Oh God! There is an axe stuck in my head."

I saw that and thought it was really clever, but I also though you were going to translate the entire aricle. My bad! LOL!
My son said it was raining last night (AR) and it was supposed to get colder, so I was thinking maybe that was part of the storm that hit you.
NASCAR gets another C of C day here, for the race. I guess they were sold out. As usual.

Ah missed yer comment until just now, tho. :)

Good morning! I’ve been cleaning. The family’s survival in my absence did not include using the vacuum. But they’d probably have broken it, anyway!
I hear we may get snow tonight.

"The one Star Trek book I read starred Data, and his new-found ~ um ~ awareness. Suffice it to say he had several friends hanging around him." I'm working up the outline of a new novel now, with a central character interested in "taking over" people in somewhat the same way the Borg did. "You will adapt to service us."
But he isn't a robot or cyborg. He's just very intelligent.
Nor does he use nanites as an infection agent. He simply reprograms the minds of those he finds malleable.
Every supergenius needs minions.

It's practically a cliché'd phrase by now, "evil supergenius".
My character will be neither evil nor good, he will simply have his own purposes. That could be scary too.

I always dreaded going away for even a night. You never know what craziness will occur from the time the kids are fast alseep to the time they wake up in the morning.
I Don’t Know, It Wasn’t Me, and How’d That Get There all seem to come in the night and create havoc. And nobody hears a thing...
