Within moments, it had hundreds of hits and was fast climbing with people beginning to comment. Moments later, the traffic died instantly, and then I noticed it had been removed from News and Activism and dumped into Bloggers and Personal where all traffic has since died.
I then ran an FR search and see where someone else posted the same column for a different publication here...

I don't know if they posted it in news first, or just went straight to bloggers. But I do know that a growing number of conservative news sites are frustrated by the fact that their works are dumped into “bloggers” and MSM leftist drivel is considered “news” on FR....???
I have had this experience over and over again... Why? As for sounding like a “whiner” - your screen name is appropriate... "one rude child"
Dude, it sounds like you really should be at a site called Digg.
My apologies, when I commented that you were coming-off as somewhat of a whiner, I wasn’t sure. Now I am.
Why did you put that in parentheses? That's probably why you went to chat.
That’s a great article, but it isn’t news or activism, it is an editorial opinion piece.. it is true, it is interesting, but it isn’t news..
That’s something we complain about all the time with the MSM, they turn opinion pieces into news..
Maybe they posted it in the blogger section first.
I know it seems to have died down, but just to give you a perspective and possible explanation from another FReeper, most of us read articles by displaying all recent articles, no matter if it is a news article, blogger, backroom, whatever (the link posted above with the * in it)... Let's say, for example, you post it in news and it receives 200 hits, it is then moved to bloggers and only receives 10 more hits. It may be that there are only 210 FReepers on line, they all glanced at it, but didn't reply. After those folks looked at it, they didn't go back, thus the drop off in hits.. it has nothing to do with it being moved, there just weren't any more people on line looking at articles.. How many articles in which you aren't interested in, do you keep visiting over and over? Just another view for you.
Policy ain't changed, yet here you still are.
