Chief Justice Roberts didn't read the oath correctly and Obama stopped recognizing the error.

The oath is "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Roberts initially stated "that I will execute the office of President of the United States faithfully"

Roberts screwed it up from what I’m told.

I pray that it was because Roberts strongly suspects 0bama is a usurper - AND WILL ACT.

First Obama started reciting the first line too soon when Roberts paused. Then Roberts messed up the second line by transposing words, which threw Obama off again.

OK, I did the research, lets be clear on this:

1. Obama jumped in before Roberts was done the first line: Fault Obama

2. Roberts put “faithfully” in wrong spot and Obama stopped ans looked confused: Fault Roberts

3. Obama studders a tiny bit on another line: Fault Obama

The big flub was by Roberts but Obama did mess up a bit.

How bad did he mangle it?

Pretty badly. He looked nervous and jumped the gun, cutting off Chief Justice Roberts more than once.

John Roberts said “I Barack Hussein Obama...” and Obama started to repeat it as Roberts continued “... do solemnly swear.” He caught himself, waited for Roberts to finish, and then said it again.

Then Roberts said “That I will execute the office of President of the United States faithfully.” when it should have been “faithfully execute.” Obama paused after execute, and Roberts corrected himself (sort of-— he said “execute faithfully”), Obama repeated the first version he said, and it went on.
