Anyone who believes animals are below man is sadly mistaken.....on so many levels.
If only people had the humanity these animals do.

One who causes pain, will feel pain. If you want to think that doesn’t include causing animals to feel pain, go right ahead.
You said “little to no pain” and that is not true. They experienc pain and fear. I choose not to cause animals that pain and fear, you do. But at least you should be honest about it. And I don’t agree that God put animals here to be eaten. But go right ahead and believe it, I don’t want to get into a p***ing match.
Why do you believe that your judgment is above God’s? Did He not ask His people to sacrifice animals to Him in the OT? Do you believe that He was wrong?

You started a volatile thread. No complaining now. I found your opening salvo very offensive. It belittled Christ’s gift of His life. The Holy Spirit was sent to be with man not animals and yet you equate them as equal which also belittles the Spirit. Did you honestly believe that no one would be offended?!
Jesus in the Last supper said that now we will sacrifice in the communion the body and blood of our Savior...with wine and unleveaned bread...NO MORE NEED TO SACRIFICE ANIMALS.
JESUS MADE THE FINAL SACRIFICE.

It also says an eye for an eye. Revenge is not okay according to Christ’s teachings and yet in that passage it most certainly is.

I follow Christ’s gift of life, by never taking any. I can live with that. The fact that it bothered you so much (for some reason) speaks more to your beliefs than it does to mine.

See my post 152. Jesus had more love for animals and more respect ...His plan is so great that it is not for mere mortals to divine where the animals come in. God decides that when and where.

I do. It's called prayer and the Bible.
The Bible is a whole book. Jesus replaced the burnt offerings. You should know that. It does not change the fact that God asked for burnt offerings. Is He wrong?
I sure can’t argue with someone who has a direct line to God.
the whole point of the New Testament was to move beyond earlier beliefs and rituals, for example when animals were sacrificed. Jesus gave us the Good News, which was his sacrifice so that any human or animals sacrifices were not needed.
