DVD movies all day long. Same as I did on election night.

There's a lot to be said about tuning-out. That is until Obama's storm troopers arrive at your door to sign you up for your "sacrifice".

We’re keeping the kids home from elementary school as well, to avoid their propaganda.

The sad thing is, tomorrow is just the beginning of 8 years of the new reality tv series, ‘The Messiah’. Where everything he does is a nothing short of a miracle.

TV is like a monkey on your back. You don’t realize how it (and the media) controls your life until you turn it off

This centuries Opiate of the Masses.

and there well may be a lot of illegal-be-damned subliminal hanky-panky going on for the duration...

I get what news I want on the net...saves time and sanity.

And now that I can get 24 on the net only one day after it airs on TV - I may not turn my TV on again.

Actually, I think TV, as we know it, will be nonexistent in the next decade.

We CAN get most everything on-line - and it's increasing.

Less people reading the newspapers today - less people watching TV tomorrow?

What WILL Katie do???

There is absolutely no reason to turn off your TV during Obama’s big party. HBO will probably have some good movie that you can watch during that time.

I’m going to zero in my rifles tomorrow. Unplugged the TV 4 years ago. Best move you can make.

I will be trying to get this stupid virus off my computer.

Suggest you visit cybertechhelp.com. They will have you run some scans and you can post the logs and they will help you get rid of the nasties. I have used them a few times. It might take some time as they are volunteers.

I’ve had on HGTV too. Sitting here in MA., with a boatload of snow outside, it’s been a great escape. Amazing how many people are fleeing the U.S. Don’t think Honduras or Panama would be one of my choices.

I'm with ya on this!

I'd rather subject myself to 24 hours of the ShamWOW guy or even Cramer than watch this fawning buffoonery...

This has absolutely nothing to do with this thread, but I just stumbled on this and thought: "This is too good not to share."

This is to lift our spirits - I'm gonna print it out and put it on my 'frig...better yet, tape it across my black TV screen. It will bring a smile every day and a reminder that there is REAL HOPE out there.

It also says a lot for eating untainted, unchemicalized, no-hormones meat. Moose and caribou is good for the body and the brain. (and she's had 5 kids - one just a few months ago!)

Can you name one liberal/Socialist woman that looks/thinks this good? (I won't hang around for an answer. I still have things to do with my life.)

Nothing but nothing can distract me for that one hour. I do not answer any phone calls, a doorbell, etc.; and the house can be burning down. NOTHING, BUT NOTHING CAN DISTRACTS ME FROM MY ONLY ONE HOUR OF INTERTAINMENT DURING A 24 HOUR PERIOD.

I identify with that! And I'm an ole gramma.

It's also the favorite show of the Marines.

I think it just speaks to a deep down primeval survival instinct in all of us...In our very core, we know the evils Jack does battle against, is - and has always been - amongst us. And we all hope there's a Jack Bauer out there that will, at that last crucial moment, save us all.

I haven’t watched Fox News or any other news outlet since the election. Tomorrow won’t be any different. I’ve got my DVR set to record many HGTV and Food Network programs, along with Antiques Roadshow, and some TV movies. I’ve also got DVD Volumes 3 and 4 of The Three Stooges to watch. Then there’s always being able to curl up with a good book. I went grocery shopping today, so my fridge and cupboards are well-stocked. I’m all set for a couch potato day.

Amazing how many people are fleeing the U.S.

Thought about it myself. My ancestors did just that, from their country, almost 400 years ago - no, actually, exactly 400 years ago - they went to Holland first, for 12 years. I now know exactly how they felt. Wish I had the money and knew of a place far from the Madding Crowd.

BTW, do you have links to incidences/stories of people fleeing the U.S. and what places they are going to?

I used to love that show. I didn’t know it was still in re-runs. I’ll have to check my local cable service.

"I understand they are showing the coronation"

Not according to my on-screen guide for both channels. I watch only recorded programs because I hate commercials. That way I can fast-forward through them all. I'll record all the programs tonight, and then spend the day watching them tomorrow.

The TV goes off any time I hear his name or see his face, and that’s pretty often. Fox included.
