You are right. The majority right now seem to have bought in to the concepts of the left....more freebies, more taxes on productive citizens. In part this is a natural swing to the left. In part it is part of a longterm move to socialist ideas. In part (and this is big) there is NO ONE out there presenting an alternative. Our President has not. Our candidate did not. Palin says it, but was not in a position to do so as a newcomer on the bottom of the ticket. We need new leaders - bold, charismatic, bigger than the media - to present alternatives on energy, health care, economic growth and foreign relations. Right now, we are pretty much on our own. The people will only change if they see a viable alternative.
Then we are doomed to Socialism. Because there IS no alternative. The GOP agrees with the Leftists, and there is no one left to speak up for us.
I have no faith or trust in a people who has broken faith with their nation, their veterans, and their heritage like this. All we can do is slide and watch the appraoching ledge before the plunge into the abyss.
