Oh, carbon dating. I didn’t think of that. I guess I should throw my bible away or just read as a compilation of fun stories and believe a bunch of men in white coats instead. The best way to describe carbon or radiocarbon dating: Garbage in Garbage out.

In your case you are probably right, maybe YOU SHOULD throw it away, it seems to have made you delusional.

Or maybe lose the pride of your knowledge and approach it as a child, asking yourself what God was trying to teach through a Pesher, common literary tool at the time. Instead of assuming that God wanted a scientific text written, maybe He was having a morality tale written. Even Christ spoke and taught in Peshers.

Most of the time lines these sites use where 19th century creations based on the translations at the time. They didn’t even account for many original language issues such as Y’M (Yom) could mean a 24 hour day, or it could mean a 12 hour day, or it could mean an indeterminate amount of time (an ‘age’). Even the word Earth, has many used forms, from dirt to country to man to world. In this section of Genesis, the form is used to describe matter before creation, mountains, or dry ground, even dirt.

Maybe it isn’t that God or the Bible is ‘wrong’ but that man is, that we don’t know what we think we do. God did create the universe to reveal him, not to mask his existence.
