I really don’t see any distinction between the two. Divine revelation still leaves human misinterpretation of the relevation (by the author), human mistranslation of the words (by the translator), and human misinterpretation of the words (by you and I) to gum up the works.

There are, and have been, many opportunities for human imperfection to creep into the Word of God.
