I agree. She just wasn’t THAT good. She could get most of the song, but, when she clunked, SHE CLUNKED. Didn’t she put out a CD afterwards?

Yes, it didn’t do very well and she was dropped from her record label.

But she was picked up by another label and is supposed to have another album out by the end of the year.

She did, and it did, indeed, flop. It sold about 375,000 copies. She is just not cut out for pop, but she signed a deal with the Verve label in January, and her new album is scheduled for a late 2009 release. Verve, a division of Universal, is known as a jazz label. With the right kind of music, marketed in the right way, McPhee could find an audience in the adult contemporary genre.
