And now, to help explain American Idol's new results show format, President Barack Hussein Obama!

In the failed policies of the past, the four least popular and least talented contestants were eliminated each week based soley on the votes of television viewers.

That's unfair and I'm here to change it.

So now instead of weeding out the weakest contestants, American Idol will eliminate nine contestants each week during the semi-finals.

Three of the highest vote-getters, regardless of talent, will move on to the Top 12.

After the first nine are chosen--that's the nine top vote-getters, not the nine that are eliminated each week--twelve of those twenty-seven will return for a wild card round.

From that group, the judges--well, three of the four judges, will choose three of those twelve to move on and join the Top 12, which already has nine, and that will make twelve.

I wish my mortgage plan was this easy to explain.
