When Ryan comes back out, Carrie shrinks away. “Is one of us about to go home?” she asks in mock fear. “It sure feels like it.” Instead, Ryan introduces four other Idols -- Jordin Sparks, Taylor Hicks, Fantasia Barrino, Ruben Studdard -- then he takes a long pause before adding, “And the very first American Idol — Kelly Clarkson.” It’s the first time all seven Idol winners have been on the same stage at the same time. “There are all of your American Idols, in one place,” says Ryan, who then introduces American Idol creator Simon Fuller.Fuller has created a special microphone-shaped statuette to give to each of the Idol winners. The show’s future winners will receive one of the sculptures as well.
