Oh I know the Baby Mama song. LOLOLOLOL
You know how record companies send out CDs of new releases to radio stations hoping they will play them? Fantasia’s label sent out that song to WLS in Chicago, which is a fairly conservative station (has Rush, Hannity and Levin)- not to mention a TALK station. Roe Conn is the afternoon drive guy and he played it constantly because he thought it was so funny!
The crappy thing about that song is it’s really, really catchy! Hear it one time and you will catch yourself walking around going, “B-A-B-Y this one goes out to all my baby mama’s...” People would call and say, “Stop playing that song! It’s been in my head for days!!”
Modern R&B/Hip-Hop survives because the songs usually have catchy beats and melodies, but the lyrics usually suck big time. :)
