Re Kelly Clarkson, her new single debuted today and is getting a very positive reception so far. The song is light, fluffy dance/pop. A purely commercial effort after her "artistic" Goth album, My December, failed to meet expectations. It did go platinum, barely, and has sold around 2 million worldwide, but that's a far cry from her monster hit album 'Breakaway.'
The new song is called 'My Life Would Suck Without You'. It is TOTALLY targeted toward the tweens, teens and very young adults who buy most music these days. It's cotton candy music, which is fine and has its place.
Here's a link to it on YouTube in case you want to hear it. This clip has a few bars of the radio station's intro music, and it ends kind of abruptly, but the official version was taken down from YouTube due to copyright infringement.

She looks so airbrushed and plastic!
That's the first time I'm seeing Kelly picture ... Wow, she looks great, but it seems kind of desperate.
Simon: So you're the complete opposite of Ryan Seacrest?
His voice is surprisingly good.
Randy: You don't sound like what you look like.
The judges love him.
Simon: What you have is that likeability thing.
Unanimous yes.
