Regarding Jennifer Hudson, am I the only person in America who doesn’t think there was any “mistake” in voting her off the show? She was at the time a “one trick pony” — all she could do was “belt”, and there was no versatility whatsoever. Fine for the stage (or a movie musical), but not going to cut it as a “pop” recording artist.
Would I have picked that specific week to vote her off? No, but I had her in the “danger” zone at least a week beforehand...
No. I didn't care for her on AI either.
But you’ve got to see that Jennifer was WAY BETTER than Fantazer. All she could do was “screetch.”
Even the rendition of “Summertime” that the judges had multiple orgasims over was way over rated!
I’ve seen Hudson in Dreamgirls and that girl can sing! Fantazer....not so much.
That all said, I was rooting for Diana Degarmo after Jennifer’s departure.
