I agree. Normally we can get at least a majority to agree on a good performance, even if we don’t like the person. Everyone knows how I disliked Blake Lewis, but I admit (and did at the time, too) he had a few really good performances. Like I said last night, all the contestants are so mediocre that our preferences are all over the place.

DOES anyone know if last nights performances are available on line?...I missed the show and would love to see them all sing to see what I missed...

Compared to previous seasons, the group's average performance for the first night on the "big stage" was, I thought, pretty good. Just nothing really remarkable... most of them hung around that average.

Now, the question becomes, how much of that is the contestants, and how much is the theme? I'd beat my head into a wall if I were competing and the first finals night was Jacko...
