Same, I can’t watch the news. I have taken a hiatus from news and FR, because I cant’ stomach what’s coming on the next 4 years. Clinton will seem like a republican next to what we have ahead....shudder. But blessedly, I have AI and 24 to keep my mind pleasantly occupied for a while. Tonight’s show, 24, was GREAT!!

It’s so frustrating to me when my favorite singer/songwriters or bands jump on a political bandwagon and decide to try and shove their views down the throats of their fans. I remember it starting with the dixie chicks, but at the time I never thought it would spread to the voices of my favorites. But it did. I gave up a long standing membership in Dave Matthews fan club and access to great seats when he started getting vocal about politics.
Then, several years ago, I started following Jason Mraz. I’ve probably seen him 10 times and was treated to this, in concert (on the screen):

Are there any other “Idol” fans who follow the international IDOL shows? I do, via YouTube. It’s interesting to see different country’s versions of how the show is done. Over the years I have begun to find some really great talent and have enjoyed the shows that wrap up their seasons before/after our Idol.

Lovely portrait of Ladyinred. I would like to have heard what she thought of the fourth judge. I’m sure she would have been diplomatic about it, whatever she thought. Sigh.
Dunno if I’ll be here much for the first few shows ... I HATE the audition phase. The crappy auditions and the pathetic auditions drive me right up a wall. Then there’s always some really good people who get the golden ticket and just disappear after that, which also drives me up a wall, wondering where they disappeared to. So I think I may mostly wait for Hollywood Week. (Well, as much as I actually get to participate at all, that is! Our twins are 22 mos now and WHAT a handful! LOL!)
So, I’m ready for tomorrow night, though.... AI, party on, dude! Rock on, most excellent Freepers! :)
