Good article, hell -- GREAT article! Thanks for the link. I am enjoying the comments as much as the original commentary. Smack dab on the money so far (still reading them). No mention of Garafolo in the original article, but I stand by my charge: that she was cast solely as a snub to the conservative viewership that came on board as a result of Rush's enthusiasm for the show. They obviously didn't choose Garafolo for her acting or personal appeal, as she is thoroughly mediocre in every way as she plays the character. If I didn't know who she was, the Janis Gold character would be a minor one indeed in my mind, as Garafolo brings zero intrigue except a faint nastiness.

I think there was a whole lot more “planning” on what they did this season just to slam the right. Rush and Laura Ingraham where is you analysis on this. Leadership is needed here! They were big fans (so was I) but the producers have stabbed us all in the back.

Hopefully freerepublic won't let the writers/producers get away with this.
