In 1961 there was a flight from Kenya to Glasgow, Scotland then onto Vancouver, B.C. She could have shown the birth certificate from Kenya there and been waved through since Kenya was a part of the British Commonweath as is Canada. From there to travel down to Seattle she would most likely have gone through Bellingham.

Why would the plane go from Scotland to Vancouver on the west coast? A plane from Scotland would have landed on the east coast, especially in 1961.

Thanks, CE. I like the part of being waved through Vancouver because of the British colony BC.

Glasgow to Vancouver seems far for a jet w/o refueling—did they go over the Artic Circle route?

So Bellingham would be the most likely P.O.E.? Would records from 1961 still exist there? Will be interesting to find out.
