I just did a search on DU and found myself quoted a few times.

I must be an O-Bot too.

Then again, I’ve only been a Freeper for ten years.

I was very interested in the item on DU. If I have it right there was an insulting epithet by the person at the end of the FR item. So up goes I with my moniker, never put you up there thought I. Wrong. On the reprinting of the farewell address by President Nixon posted by furquhart November 8th 2006, there I was.(Peter Libra). The inference was that the DU chappie was feeling sorry for those "turning to Nixon for comfort". Oh well, rather thought my FR post was pretty good and got in the words "those two wretched men-Woodward and Bernstein". Excuse the screed, but fame indeed!

To cut to the chase., my hobby research in genealogy and this is the greatest test for many years. An absolute classic search. Howard Hughes Jr family line a real masterpiece of research. Also the grandfather of Adolf Hitler is- have not found him yet.

I know that this subject has galvanized and indeed invigorated many Freepers. Some are beginning to wilt and this is understandable. The positives are that it has been a learning experience. Next, once and for all, surely, surely, the powers that be, will lay down firm rules for anyone in future, who puts his/her name on the ballot for the Presidency.
