Having seen so much of this same kind of thing (not quite what was wanted; need more; more time; something else; etc...) — I just say — “Show me the birth certificate when you’ve got it.”
[And don’t let me know three hours ahead of time, or the day before or the week before, or that it’s going to be this evening or anything like that — just *pop it out* and be done with it... LOL..]
