Good for you.......
And I understand about turning the laptop around...a couple of years ago our doggy’s health was rapidly declining so I started looking around for other breeders. I felt like I was two-timin’ her if she walked in the room.
Sheesh...

You need to keep him with you at ALL times. This having border collies for pets has messed up the breeding and the line between imitation stalking (which is what herding is) and stalking for real is being blurred. But border Collies are not low maintenance dogs. They need guidance and companionship, usually. They need to bond with you.
And scolding her all the way home is a waste of time. She'll know you're angry but she won't know at what.
This, if true, is a disaster in the making. Border Collies are sports cars. Don't get one if you don't know how to drive.

May I risk everyone’s laughter and kidding?
I had a b ig standard poodle, a huge gentleman and the smartest dog in the world.
The latest standard in the family,,we all have them,,is a ninny. He came to visit us on our lake and we took him out at night and a goose honked at him. He melted like a baby he was so terrified.
But they are smart and gentle and protective and wonderful. Much smarter than labs.

> I cant imagine a border collie going toe-to-toe with a deer and not needing at least some stitches.
Hmmm... It would depend on the deer, ay. Border collies are very smart and agile, and deer are none too bright. I can almost imagine it, if several border collies were to work as a team. Still, the BS detector is humming away here...

I think budhead123 had a few too many before the New Year’s Day party. I have a number of deer living on the golf course behind our house. They leave the dogs and coyote’s in the dark when chased. This troll got ZOTTED, instead of its dog killing deer.
