"after humans separated from their common ancestor ... chimpanzees." I DO NOT want to start an evolution argument here but.... Modern chimpanzees the ancestors of humans and Neanderthals? I don't think so. Evolutionary theory posits common ancestors to great apes and humans, but saying that humans descended from chimps is horribly sloppy science.
