Mossberg makes a great shotgun for home defense; it's short for ease of maneuvering in close quarters. It's name/model is on the tip of my tongue; maybe someone else knows?

Probably the Mossberg 500 cruiser 18 1/2" barrel, and pistol grip....
or the Mossberg 500 Rolling Thunder... 18 1/2" barrel, pistol grip, and heat shield (has the big can "barrel stabilizer" on it)
