Several variations of stocks will also be available with wood, synthetic, speed feed and adjustable aluminum. All 590A1 models come drilled and tapped from the factory making it easy to mount a Picatinny rail, scope base or other optic options. Other accessories available for the 590A1 are heat shields, Picatinny rails as well as orange buttstocks and forearms for training purposes.
The Mossberg shotgun has a proven place not only in the field but also for home/personal defense.

Barrel erect, two hands on. When entering the next alignment, stay back from any wall, leaving room to take a shot. Its not much different with a hand gun either; same technique applies.
Aside from game hunting regulations, no reason.
My BIL showed me a neat 870 at Christmas. It had a 12" barrel, an extra ammo carrier and a light. He planned to take the light off, made it too bulky. The magazine had 00 in it, with slugs in the carrier. The stock was 2" shorter than normal,to deal with body armor. I happened to mention the pistol grip. His reply was the only way to shoot, would be from the hip. Otherwise, result would be as you described.
Let a round loose. I guarantee they will let go.
I shot from the hip. and BRACED into the hip.
I wouldnt shoot that kind of load without a full stock

I tend to roll with recoil myself but she ended up 10 feet back

I have a variety of weapons long and short but no shotgun and I’ll like to have one. Second weapon I shot was a double barrel shotgun when I was 12 and I was impressed.
Yes, but the article mentioned mounting holes for a scope.
I would just use 7 1/2 bird shot at close quarters in 12 ga
I like the little 410 in 000 buck for home defense too, but those rds are pricey.
The nice thing about 410 000 buck is that even a gurl can handle it with no issues. thats 5, 30 cal balls per squeeze at 1325 fps
