While I don’t much care about the Lions...

I have not enjoyed a football game this much in a long time...Dallas @ Philly - it’s Cowboy Schadenfreude for me. :)

Truly an appropriate moment for this classic front-page story:

I had a bad feeling about the Cowboys today, so I went for a run and then did a few errands. I came back and 44-3 IN THE THIRD QUARTER? WTF? Boy, am I glad I didn't watch that.

We didn’t get the game here, I’m watching the SeaHawks lose to the Cards, and an actually pretty good Jets/Miami game.

I listened on-line until it got to 17-3, and then shut it off. Oh, well, maybe next year...

That’s Charlie Batch...thankfully he broke his shoulder this year and Steelers fans such as myself won’t have to worry about a repeat of that picture. Then again Roethlisberger also got carted off today with his neck immobalized so we might have to ride the Byron Leftwich train into the playoffs.

The 1990 Cowboys were 1-15, made the playoffs a year later at 8-8, then starting in 1992 they won the Super Bowl 3 out of the next 4 years.

Things can turn around quickly for the worst of teams. O course having a few hall of fame players sure helps.

the NFL's first 0-16 team.

Does that mean that if next year's coach leads the team to an 8 - 8 record he will be eligible for "Coach of the Year"?.......LOL!

They were 7-9 the next year in 1990 Emmitt’s rookie year and missed the playoffs. The following year, 1991 they made the playoffs at 11-5 but lost to the Lions and the Cowboys got their butts kicked that game. The next year, 1992 they would win the first out of 3 in the next four years.

I wished the 1993 team showed up today.

LOL. I really hope that headline was cut off — and it was supposed to say “Detroit Blows Big Lead” or something like that.

Sorry, I was a little unclear on the dates and records.

I too wish that 1993 team could have been on the field today. I have a feeling some big changes need to be made before we can get back into serious contention.

As a Cowboy fan, I’m totally disgusted.

The key was the Cowboys fleecing the Vikes for Herschel Walker, kind of like how the Lions fleeced the Cowboys for Roy Williams.

With all due respect to you fellow Freeper, a lot of us are sick and tired about having "America's Team" shoved down our throats. I'm glad they lost.

You seem to be one of those who suffer from CDS... Cowboy Derangement Syndrom.

Rest easy. Now that the cowboys have been eliminated, your recovery can begin until next season when it comes out of remission.
