Atlas Shrugs ^ | 12/26/2008 | Free America

First off, the biggest ass-kissing media refers to Michelle Obama as a 'distinguished attorney" despite the fact that Michelle Obama has been"inactive" since 1993.

I don't know, John Bell might have been OK.

In a calmer time, Bell could have been a good president. But as far as age and health, he might have been past his prime by 1860. I've read some from contemporary Tennessee histories of the period, and during the Tennessee secession crisis Bell proved indecisive and vacillating. Had he won the 1860 election he might have continued the Buchanan policy of limbo and chaos.

Probably not, looks like it only applies to federal agencies. Good thought, though.

There were anti-slavery firebrands and zealots in the mid-19th century who vilified slavery and slave holders to an obscene degree, just as today there are groups like the Brady Bunch and the Soros idiots and their ilk who trash guns and gun owners to the nth degree.

How is it possible to vilify slavery and slave holders to an obscene degree? I happen to think it would have been cool if the slaves had had some guns with which to win freedom by force!

“How is it possible to vilify slavery and slave holders to an obscene degree?”

You forget that slavery was LEGAL, and that the federal government accepted it (though it did not want an expansion of it). The federal government and the vast, vast majority of the American citizenry were pretty much neutral and ambivalent about “the curious institution.”

I hate slavery, but it is easy for me in this time and place to take such a position, where in the past (i.e., throughout history) not only was slavery legal (pretty much throughout the world), but was actively practiced and encouraged. Human sacrifice is an abomination, but there was a time when it was the “in thing” to do (read the Bible, for instance), and no one batted an eye about it. There was a time when abortion was considered so heinous an act as to be beyond the pale (and I am one who is opposed to abortion), yet now it is so common and widely practiced that it’s almost become a yawner. Things need to be looked at from the viewpoint of the time and of the participants of that time in order to put things into perspective. Some things changed for the better (the end of slavery and the cessation of humnan sacrifice, for example), and some for the worse (abortion, for example).

Her and Barry only got into law school because of Affirmative Action. When I went to Syracuse, the Affirmative Action cases were so obvious. They just weren’t qualified, but they took a seat away from someone who was. I’m sure Michelle and Hussein were no different.

Same goes for academics. I know a few A.A. professors and their teaching standards are absolutely dreadful. Students don’t rate them highly.

Question for anyone:

Is there a legal difference (even if just a technicality) between what is ethically required of a licensed attorney vs unlicensed attorney.

I am wondering if it is a way of skirting certain requirements and/or ethical responsibilities for someone involved in machine politics.

The reason that a lot of the kids take the ethnic studies classes is because they can’t get good enough grades in regular classes to get into grad schools. So, the counselors push them into the ethnic studies classes and keep their fingers crosses that they can at least get a decent grade on the entrance exams. Entrance to grad schools for ethnic studies majors is not really based on grades and test scores anyway. It is now based on their essay, which much show how they overcame some hardship.

I live here and know all this already. Sorry, I lived and am living with this corruption all the time. Reading through the thread these “scandals” are just news in IL.

That other Chicagoans or citizens of Cook County let Obama into the WH without warning the rest of the nation is a travesty. I wasn't one of them, but the BDS was in full force and McCain was a loser to start with.

Awwwww did that you get mad that I posted a picture of the little fag that is the object of you late night, under the cover fantasies.

Now here comes your grammar lesson. See your above sentence. It should say KNOW, not NO.
Now put down the cheap bottle of wine, get out of the basement and do your homework little boy. Play Dixie while you do it. It will sharpen your mind(if that’s possible little pecker man)
