I think the George C. Scott version is the best on film. And let’s not forget the Mister Magoo version of which I have fine childhood memories.

Au contraire. The Alistair Sim B&W version has never been bested and probably never will. George C. Scott’s, however, is a close second. Kelsey Grammer’s is the worst!

Alasteir Simm's version was the best of all them to date.

The background music set the mood for that movie magnificently. Especially Barbara Allen

That being said, my favorite scene is this one from Albert Finney's Scrooge/
