The Michigan house of representatives recently passed a resolution that sidesteps the electoral college if signed into law. Is that legal?

Apparently it will be if the state senate passes it and the governor signs it into law. That's what happens when we pick and choose which parts of the constitution we want to defend.
It means that heavilly populated democrat states like mine can be matched up with less heavily populated republican leaning states and override their vote. Apparently no body cares so that's how it will be.
