I don’t believe George and Cindy knew at the beginning based on the panic in Cindy’s voice during her 911 call, but it wasn’t very long afterwards that they began sounding hinky.
They knew Casey lied like a rug, but as Cindy told the media later lying isn’t crime (she changed the verbage to “mistruths” a few weeks after this case broke). They knew Casey stole from them, drained the little girl’s “college fund” and even her little piggy bank but they tolerated it (enablers).
George is an ex cop/homicide detective and Cindy is a nurse so they knew what decomp smelled like (there was no pizza in the box either, just the empty box). Neither had ever met “Zannie the nanny” nor did the granddaughter talk about the babysitter; during one interview Cindy even told LE that she suspects “Zannie” was just a code name for whom ever is watching Caylee. They tried blaming several of Casey’s friends for then missing baby, and accused LE of not doing enough to find this child, but not once did they blame Casey. Personally I think they are up to their necks in this.
What’s really sad and maddening is to realize the two people who this little girl loved and trusted “threw her under the bus” in order to protect their daughter who murdered that baby; and to make matters worse is that they are making money off of it (rumor is Cindy’s book deal is worth $2M). Sorry for the rant, this story just gets my blood boiling!
no, not at all—you give good and thoughtful answers :)
i recently had a son and my mom is crazy about him. she told me one night that although she loves him very much, that it isn’t as much love as she feels for us (my sibs and i) i’m curious if cindy and george made thier choice to protect their daughter because she’s thier daughter. i try and put myself in that situation...i can’t truly because Henry is only 7 months old, but i would like to think that if he ever did something like that, i would not be compelled to protect him even if he was my son. i think cindy and george had a moment of truth and they failed to choose the right path. i believe in karma and it’s a b%tch.
this case bothers me as it is the third one that’s gotten major attention but seems to be unsolved—first jonbenet, then madeline and now caylee. it is odd to me how LE seemed to fumble on all 3...well so they say in caylees case, but i still have yet to make my decision on that one. i think that when you say that they are up to their eyeballs in this, you are spot on. my husband and i both agreed that after the whole thing broke, they were acting awfully strange-something just seemed “off” with them.
thanks for all the updates...i appreciate it and if i have any more questions i hope it’s ok if i ask you. :)
