Most all of the other pictures were of New York in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
There was a pic of Marilyn Monroe with Joe Dimaggio, I think. One of Marilyn by herself. Another of Times Square. That pic with all the men/women in formal attire in a theater wearing 3-D glasses was there. One of Yankee Stadium. All of them were decidedly non-freaky, and then there was this one. All were in Black-and-White.
I didn’t ask the management of D&B for any info, because I seriously doubt they would have had anything to offer, other than a shrug and “It was here when I started working here.”
This pic of NYC was taken sometime between 1971 and 2001 (the twin towers are visible). It appears to be a shot taken from a jet passing over the City at between 25,000 and 35,000 feet (I made a comparison using Google Earth).
