No doubt about that. My kitties are big talkers when they demand that their human put breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks on the table. And even more vocal when there is inclement weather (they are outside kitties). They seem to think I can make it quit raining.

I understand “pup” speak really well. The Labs/Lab mixes I have had in the past and today are very eloquent speakers.

My cat Crookedtail is like that. He looks out the opened door and sees the rain, then backs up and runs to another exit, thinking I suppose that it won’t raining out that door! I know, dumb cat. But he can ask for milk by name ‘meilllk’.
