I don't know of any intermarriage with locals in the Ptolomy line. You have any references? While there might have been some intermarriage among the lower parts of the Macedonian ruling class, I don't think the royals would be doing it.
“I don’t think the royals would be doing it.”
Outside of the harems and concubines of course.
There weren't any intermarriage with locals. The members of this Dynasty family practiced inbreeding so as to not be challenged by other royal family members for their legitimacy over the Ptolemaic throne. One of the rules established by the founder of this Dynasty was that heirs to the throne must be of pure royal Hellenic bloodline, i.e the Hellenic Dynasty families who ruled the Greek world after ATGs death, and of ruling Queens, heck we have Ptolemies who were of nothing but of Ptolemaic origins challenge each other for the throne because ones mother was a Ptolemaic Princess and not a ruling Queen. The Ptolemies were nuts when it came to preserving their royal bloodline because it was their ticket to ruling the Dynasty, so no Nubian or Native Egyptian concubines mixed child would have ever been chosen as heir to this throne.
