My parents had a series of “Blackies” that spanned fifty years - six or seven different ones IIRC. They are both gone now, along with the cats. Think I’ll adopt one soon.

My first black cat, Buddha (Boo), he did have a little white spot on his chest. When my maternal grandmother first saw him, it reminded her of her black cat, Pete, when she was a little back around 1917 or 1918.

We have a black cat with a small white spot on his chest. Our daughter brought him home from college to join our other two. He has so much personality as well as that little swagger walk! I'm really superstitious, but this cat has brought nothing but joy!
