Just an old man's opinion, but since the Bible identifies the Messiah as ‘the lion of Juda’ and the Wisemen consulted astrology to know when and where the Christ child would be, it is more likely that Jesus was born in the August window of the Leo sign on astrological charts. Perhaps precession of the Planet can account for the seeming discrepancies?
