I have wondered also about the attraction. I have concluded two things. People think they are saving ammo and many have had a bad experience where they got the scope mounted so poorly that it wouldn’t hit paper at 25 yards. Just MHO.
I hope the person pulling the trigger is ok.
This would be something to film in a high speed camera for a slow motion study.
