I often look at historical pix like these, and wonder if any one of these people are still alive, and wonder at their thoughts on the moment in the pic, and now.
Such precious little children, used by adults to their own purpose.
Surely they could not have known. They just knew what their parents, and other adults told them. Very sad.
Most of those “innocent chlidren” became members of the Hitler Youth. Who were,according to the G.I.s and and p.o.w.s that I have talked to were a nasty, vicious bunch of bastards.
