I haven't seen many Pearl Harbor stories here today, so i found one. Let us never forget our past and the great people that are a part of it.

The writer has some trouble with certain concepts such as the difference between an attack and an invasion also the number of WWII bomber planes needed to destroy a fair sized city but then she after all is the product of a journalism school.

My favorite BIL was on the USS New Orleans during the attack.
The Chaplain on this great Ship was the one who said these
famous words “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition”.
Later in the war, the ship was hit by a torpedo and the bow
was blown off between turrets one and two.

This great crew saved the ship by backing it onto an atoll.
They made a temporary bow out of scrap and palm tree logs.
This allowed the ship to go at half speed to Australia where a
new bow was fabricated.
Being an old hand he was transferred to a new DE, the USS Laws and served on it until the war was won.

I do have to tip the hat to The History Channel.
They did play their 2-hour Pearl Harbor documentary "Tora,
Tora, Tora".
(NOT the cinematic release)
