Somebody help me with a biblical question.

My dad believes that the OJ conviction was divine justice & God made things right.

My father-in-law says that OJ was consumed by his imorality that lead him to this day and God did not intervene.

Both are believers and acknowledge God is in control, but does someone with a better understanding of Christian teaching have an insight?

The Man got away with double murder...His mind knew he was guilty, he never could keep himself out of trouble since those murders and divine justice was the evil inside him..

When GOD is not inside of you ((The Holy Spirit) then evil runs rampant and you become your own worst enemy..

This was OJ’s downfall..

Yes it was Divine Justice IMO.

I believe that those who think they know the thoughts of God are fooling themselves first.

OJ broke the law and got convicted this time around. That's evident and goes along with what your FIL said. As far as divine justice and God making things right, my belief is that God allows all the stuff (good and bad) in this life to bring us to an understanding of Himself. He is concerned more with the eternal than the temporal. I dont believe God decreed that OJ would be caught and convicted to make things "right". Christ death and resurrection already did that. Simpsons sin was paid for over 2000 years ago at Calvery, if he accepts that truth He will be forgiven the same as anyone else who comes to Christ. That wont change the fact he broke the law here and has to pay the price.
