You mean Buck’s gold suit?

Heck, he’d been wearing that thing off and on forever.

After that he went to the white “prom suit” look and now he looks like an insurance saleman from Iowa who golfs on the weekends....:)

Probably the best show I ever saw was at a local roadhouse called Honey Bear’s in Martinsburg WV in ‘93.

Small venue, lotsa bikers and I spent the entire show perched on a Marshall stack ontsage, taking photos.

Not-so-best was 4th of July in Baker Park, Frederick MD.

Freaking poured rain most of the show and I had a hard time videotaping.

Weirdest show was in the “nosebleed” section at the [former] Cap Center in Largo, MD.
[this was back when they brought still the giant, fire-breathing “Godzilla” head on tour with them]

I was seated amongst 2 dozen or so rowdy Jarheads.
The upside was they’d brought enough beer that the Marines were able to get me up and singing and stomping along with them during the finale song, “Roadhouse Blues”.
[yes, they “let me go” after it was over]...:))

Since the early 80s, I’ve seen them at so many state fairs, festivals and seedy roadhouses I’ve lost count.

If they’re anywhere within reasonable driving distance, I go...with the exception of their last show at the Maryland Theater.

$90 for tickets to see them playing on a stage surrounded by Baroque cherubs, gilded angels and snobby theatre patrons?

I don’t *think* so....too surrealistic and out of character for me....:))

Their dates page shows them playing The Ram’s Head in Annapolis Jan 20 and State Theater in Falls Church VA, Jan. 23.

I know Ram’s Head is a “no recording” venue but State Theater, I dunno.

That’s why I prefer the festival concerts.

>>>State Theater in Falls Church VA, Jan. 23.<<<<<

Yep, I think they played State Theatre earlier this year. Leon Russell was there not too long ago.

Anyway last time I say BOC was (I think) 1975 at Cap Center, like you in nosebleed section (waaayyyyy upper right and back, I vaguely recall the view down to the stage).

But I don’t want to date myself, I was only 5 years old :)
