I see an airplane, but I don’t see a smile.

Mars and Mercury are also technically evening stars now, but both are too close to the sun to be seen. Mars will be in conjunction with the sun on Dec. 5 and then will become a morning star.

By the latter part of December Mercury should be visible in the evening sky. On the 29th, Mercury and Jupiter will be close together near the two-day-old crescent moon. Mercury passes Jupiter on the 31st. By then Venus will be quite a distance from Jupiter--the moon will pass Venus on the 31st, and Venus will be setting almost two hours after Jupiter.

No. Take a look at the sky now, if you can. The moon is shifting position.

How stupid was that to say. It would simply be an upside down smiley face. I didn’t see a sarcasm claimer.

(:

Thanks. The cloud cover was fairly heavy in the evening last night, so it was mostly not visible. But every so often the three of them were visible at the same time, and very bright. Due to the cloud cover and Broward County’s ambient light, that was about all I could see. Very impressive.

It was a frowny face in Texas last night I told Mrs. Biased in Japan and Australia it was a smiley face.
