Pets are family. If they get in trouble healthwise..one does the best one possibly can.
I think because animals can’t “talk” and can be so stoic..it gets to you more..
I agree, and doubt there is anyone on this thread who would question or raise an eyebrow at the expense we would go through if there is a chance to save our precious pets. It's too hard to see them in pain and not try to do all we can to 'fix' them.

Definitely! A line from one of Jack London’s books has stayed with me since I read it when I was little. He was referring to one of his characters talking to his dog. He called it “love curses.” It took me awhile to figure out what he meant, but I agree. Stupid dogs! They make you fall in love with them, and then they get old and die way before you’re ready to let go.
On a happier note—the sun is shining here today, it’s supposed to get up to 60—not holding my breath on that one—the puddles are still iced over!
I’m making jerky from a deer hubby shot last week—can’t you smell it?! I’ve got the day off and I may even drag out some of the Christmas decorations!
