Lori, when it snows here, it is so beautiful - (probably because it doesn't last.) Here is a picture of snow in the Canyon:

I wish I could grow roses here, but the critters have demolished them every time I have planted them. In TX, I had many rose bushes, and kept fresh buds and blooms in a vase on my table almost year round.
You are so lucky to get snow, especially the kind that doesn't last. That's my favorite kind. It's beautiful when it first falls, but I don't like it when it gets all dirty and slushy and then freezes over. I spent enough winters back east and remember winters that seemed to last forever. It's funny, as a kid I would look forward to the first snow fall each winter with such anticipation, but by March I was ready for it ALL to go away!
That's a lovely photo of the snow covered orchard. Snow certainly is pretty when it is fresh and new.
