If it’s for home defense only, I recommend a pump shotgun loaded with 00 buck.
For carry, your options are good. I like the Glock 23 but I usually carry a 38 snubbie.

Well, I actually have a Ruger Red Label (which is awesome); but I’m looking for a carry weapon....and yes, the glock is nice. Many folks here are recommending the Springfield XD however...so many choices...
