I don’t think the drivers helmets will fit through those windows.:P
Paging Mr. Keith Black......Mr. Keith Black please pick up the white courtesy phone.....paging Mr. Keith Black.....
Is Dale Earnhardt, Jr (#88) going to be worth every penny that boy earns through his salary and marketing machine this season? No idea, but I do know that he is part of the best damn team in NASCAR. They might be driving Impalas, but Rick Hendrick owns the Cadillac of NASCAR outfits. Between Junior, three-time defending champ Jimmie Johnson (#48), four-time king Jeff Gordon (#24), and veteran Mark Martin (#5), they are the marquee faces of this sport, and the results in 2009 will once again show why. I predict all will make the Chase, and few would argue that.
It has been nearly eight years since we lost Dale Earnhardt. His son remains the legacy of the legend, while the team he built is just about DOA. DEI merged with Ganassi, put a couple of cars in mothballs, and we know only for sure that Martin Truex Jr (#1) and Juan Pablo Montoya (#42) will be two of their drivers. They are still dickering around as to who will be in the #8 and the #41. Will it matter? I don’t think so, as none will make the Chase. What we do know is that Tony Stewart was right when he said that DEI without Junior is just a museum, as no more cars will be built in the Intimidator’s Taj Mahal anymore.

I think Labonte is going to the 96 team, may be he doesn’t have muchfaith in EGR future.
Bobby Labontes Sprint Cup career took another sharp turn Tuesday, with the 2000 Cup Series champion agreeing to drive the No. 96 Fords for Hall of Fame Racing, which has a new association with Yates Racing.
Labonte and Earnhardt Ganassi Racing were working on a deal that would have put Labonte in the No. 8 Chevrolets. The future of that car now is in question.[HOW DISGUSTING IS THAT?]
Labonte was scheduled for a lunch meeting with officials at Earnhardt Ganassi Racing on Tuesday. But shortly before the meeting, informed the organization he had signed with Yates/Hall of Fame, sources said.
The No. 96 is likely to take the owner points from Yates’ No. 38 team, with which David Gilliland drove in 2008 for much of the season without a full-time sponsor. Sources also said that Yates No. 28 car, currently driven last season by Travis Kvapil, currently does not have the necessary funding to run the entire 2009 season.
Labonte will be sponsored in 18 of the season’s first 21 races in the No. 96 by Ask.com, an internet search engine company that will announce today a broad sponsorship program that will also make it the official search engine of NASCAR and include a presence on NASCAR.com and a number of at-track marketing initiatives. The company has an option to pick up more races beyond the initial deal, as well.
We couldnt be more excited, said Jim Safka, chief executive officer of Ask.com. Bobby Labonte is a champion, first and foremost. We look at it from the standpoint that he can be competitive. We are proud to have him. [As they should be!!]
Ain’t much telling. Hall of Fame was a Texas thing and that may play into it too.
And brother Terry did drive for them originally.
It’s going to be in the mid 20s tonight down here.
It could be a Texas thing. :)
Sheesh it’s below 20 here or something.......who left the door open this time?
Must be someone in the north country. We know anybody up that way?
Wasn’t me... 45/20 here. We’re in January thaw. T-shirt weather today. Sunshine today!
We should go back up to 60 today. I told the dogs this morning they were on their own, no walk as usual this morning. They keep looking at me like what’s up?? :D
You know it’s pretty bad when your car tells you it’s “icy”!
You really know it’s icy when you turn the defroster on and five minutes later the windshield cracks side to side. Never had that happen before. I’ll probably replace it this week.
DUDE! Now that’s cold!
Remember the Carson Mansion Glock? Of course you do! Nice Dog Work
This is a hanging offense...
“Harpham said at the time of his arrest, Sanchez was on probation for resisting arrest.”
Hmmm. Always smart to carry a sword and hatchet around when you’re on probation. Oh, and hack up historical landmarks.
The boy broke his arm last night. Got it xrayed last night, going in this morning to get a cast... hoped we could do without it.
BTW, it’s a Blackberry, not an iPhone.
