Cards winning a division? We are in bizarro world.

And on top of that, Vanderbilt is bowl eligible.

I’m going to go ahead and call the North for the Packers. Chicago and Minnesota are the exact same type of team: inconsistent. The Packers are struggling a little thanks to injuries, but Ryan Grant appears to be waking up. And since everyone gets 2 free victories from Detroit, the win-loss records are a little skewed right now.

Back to the superior conference, it looks like Buffalo is doing its damndest to lose in the east, and I welcome their gagging sounds. New England’s patchwork defense is slowly coming apart at the seams. Looks like the Jets may take the division by default if the Dolphins falter down the stretch.

Dolphins could easily be 7-2 if they played smarter football. I’m used to seeing the Browns invent new ways to lose, anyway.

Delhomme had easily one of the worst games of his career vs. the raiders but the D, punt return team and one long run bailed him out. If he gets back on track vs. the lowly lions, then you could be right.

The defense is becoming somewhat raven like. Peppers is back, LB’s are excellent.

Special teams is settling down and suddenly we have a punt returner.

The big test comes next week at Atlanta.

It’s quite possible the game in NY will decide home field throughout.

There are only two teams I like:

1) The Redskins
2) Whoever is playing Dallas

Having said that, I would expect Dallas to be a bit more desperate in today's matchup. However, I will be thrilled beyond measure if my beloved (and decidedly un-PC) 'Skins win.

Me too!

I am a dyed-in-the-wool Redskins fan and have been one since the 1958 season, which was when I saw them play the Steelers in stadium (Steelers won).

Eddie LeBaron was QB, for the ‘Skins and Bobby Layne QB’ed for the Steelers, I think. It was freezing cold at Griffith Stadium, I remember that.

My dad and I went down on the field after the game and I got an autograph from a player I had never heard of. I think his last name was Haynes. I recall being disappointed he wasn’t a well known player.

Has a 9-0 team ever gotten less respect than the Titans?

I don't think so. I also note that Fisher is probably the best coach in the NFL to have a publicity blackout. The Vince Young thing could have torn the team apart, but Fisher handled it very well, and also had a backup QB who could handle the team.

BTW, I love the interviews with their running backs. It looks like a Saturday Night Live parody.

Some teams just don't get covered because they're not in major media centers. Also, the NFL selects certain players and coaches to "puff," ignoring the performance of others.

Very true : )...Hopefully this will be a great game. I don’t have a stake in who wins but I am getting the game here. I am a Packer fan. Go Packers!! Beat the Bears!!

Rogers to Jennings TD puts the Pack up 7-0 early.

The G Men are averaging 7.9 yds/rush. Long day for the Ravens, if they can’t do something about that.

If you count just the time from snap to whistle, most NFL games contain about 11 minutes of actual playing time.
