I was told just the opposite...when I asked why...being if I bought example Remington brand I'm getting a good deal right He told me Ahha ...most ammo manufacturers sell wal-mart seconds or ammo that is has not gone through QC..then he asked me out of the ammo I bought from Wal-Mart how many miss-fired ...plenty

I've shot a lot of Wal-Mart ammo, and haven't really noticed any quality issues compared with ammo purchased elsewhere. The ammo would be 9mm Luger, 12 ga. shot, .300 Winmag, and lots and lots of .22LR. One thing I would note is that I would highly doubt that any competent manufacturer would sell ammo - period - that hasn't undergone some sort of quality control checks.

yea that was my point ..I really don’t know..I buy ammo from wally world bricks of 22lr mostly..
