In fact my only source of hope for the political process is that the Libtards get too greedy and start fighting amongst themselves to the point of paralysis. That changes my perspective on legislation, but not on most of the fundamentals of the structural change.

The Fairness Doctrine does not even need legislation or an Executive Order; it is within the regulatory power of the FCC already, it has been suspended by GOP nominated members of the FCC for two decades and requires the change of only one member to be reinstated.

And the voting fraud is already mostly in place. It would take a concerted effort to reverse the trend.

The free market corporatists and the socialists worked in concert to bring down this country. The left didn't do this by themselves.

The sad thing is that even if we managed to get control of power again, the idiots in charge still wouldn't do anything about the borders. Our elected officials are in it for the power and lobbyist money. The two go hand in hand.

Although the following are not necessarily for staying in power, there is a possibility of them passing the Freedom of Choice Act which will repeal all restrictions on abortions passed by State Legislatures and repealing the Defense of Marriage Act forcing all states to recognize homosexual unions as well as an executive order allowing them to serve openly in the military.

"I do believe before that happens though the people or at least 50 million who actually work will just boycott and not work and just bring the country to its knees. Not a pretty picture but I think we are heading in a direction of anarchy!"

Nah, I don't think so. We are heading towards European socialism. That's what the left wants. No need to be alarmist. We aren't drifting towards communism or even fascism - the people in charge on the left like their money, too. :)

I just look at President Bush where 9/11 changed his presidency dramatically.

What would his presidency been without 9/11? We will never know but it probably would have unfolded a lot differently and we might be in whole different place economically.

Obama and the left will have struggles. It is not going to be a slam dunk because we will be fighting to make sure the truth is heard. The loyal opposition. I borrow from Winston Churchill—”Never, never, never give up!

Wow! Saying a lot of the things I am feeling, but am too scared to type.

I been wanting to post a idea/question about the possible coming of “Net Neutrality”, which figures into the scheme of the points that you have mentioned.

When folks on the net get a whiff of this, there would be such a concerted pushback from so many possible users of the internet, not just our little conservative universe, but I think libertarians and a lot of libs would freak out, too.

So, why ask permission? Or fire off a preemptive first strike for that matter.

I don’t think Obama is going to wait for a legislative process to disassemble conservatives who are connected via the web, a la FR. I believe that it is plausible that he may try to monkeywrench the whole kit n’ kaboodle via hacking.

I assume that it could be done. We would ALL be adrift and he could stand back and say “I didn’t have anything to do with it.”

So, is that big time crazy or what?

I also have a theory about the gas prices going down ~ to what looks as though it might conceivably be below $2 ~ Obie and the mob in Congress could put up a pretty nice gas tax, while we are kind of feeling all happy about the bonanza of low ga and many would go “Aw shucks, at least it ain’t $4 anymore!” at that point the gas prices and the new “green” tax ride an upward bubble.

Your thoughts? You can tell me I’m totally out to lunch. In fact, I think I’d like to hear that.

Yup. Chicago-style politics may be unsustainable in a country this big. This analysis has a lot going for it, but it assumes—among other things—that Repubs won’t get some balls (go Broun!) and that the people won’t revolt. Which, of course, the NRA types are practically hoping for. :-)

Our hope is in a large, 30%-ish sized portion of the population. They aren’t going anywhere. Look to your local leaders (that’s where future presidents come from), run for city council, bone up on your Bastiat, Smith, Friedman, and Hayek. And breed, breed, breed!!! :-)

The death of this great nation has been exxagerated oftenly - There are certainly problems and we certainly have put in place a nanny-state mindset among a growing number - We have a youth generation that has been actively and directly indoctrinated like no other - But I believe the truth and facts will become in vogue once again and this Nation will bounce back sooner than most think -

Immigration is a key plank here and our Party has put ourselves in a bad spot (for now). I believe President GWB was likely right strategically with regard to immigration (and finding a way to work a reasonable solution while putting the GOP in a position of strength with the Hispanic voters) however, tactically he went about it all wrong (he should have secured the border first, for our base).

Our base then, turned, and because tactically the WH was off course, we gave away our strategic needs as well.

"We're Domed!!!!"

Not that I disagree with a lot of what you said. There are difficult waters ahead.

But I still believe in our resilience, and the resilience of the American people.

I had a friend once who kept saying that we were becoming France. He’s looking pretty prescient right about now.

Incidentally,we parted company over his becoming a McCainiac in 2000 followed by his conversion from Christianity to pagan animist envirotheology.

You just can’t make this stuff up sometimes.

I’m making plans along those lines, and others, such as exercising my Second Amendment rights while I can.

10. Regardless of what transpires specifically, it is clear that we no longer have an independent media. They have dropped any pretense of virtue and have cast their lot with a new Beloved One. Media cheerleaders will go to whatever ends they must in order to protect their Beloved and earn his affection. Without the alternate media to counterbalance them, expect truth to become a scarce commodity.

IMHO this is already happening and will continue to happen throughout BHO's tenure and coupled with a Democrat Congress that just may have a filibuster proof Senate, NOTHING is out of the realm of possibility.

As I have stated before on this board we are in UNCHARTED waters heading due west [LEFT]with no rudder control.

I agree. Secured border first would have been nice.

He also could have communicated ANY kind of vision on the matter; he’s subverting the country, he’s got white guilt, we can’t get these people out of the country so let’s get ‘em into the fold and make them productive citizens.

He has never shown leadership on the matter. Maybe he was focused on the war. It would have been a hard sell, but at least I could agree or disagree with it.

He was focused on the war, without question. And most have no idea what a war POTUS/CinC goes through daily because of such -

His aides (VP Cheney) however, should have seen to it that the immigration plans were put out tactically much better. With border issues being taken care of first, along side deportations (however, these have been happening and did happen at a growing rate under GWB years in office, of which our base gave his Admin no credit). Additionally border security (in the sense of terrorism) was increased after 9-11 (these are things not talked about on a open forum, however).

Immigration wise our party now is a tough spot. POTUS Obama and the DEM congress will now pass a much more liberal immigration policy and they will do so in manner in which many within the Hispanic communities will likely feel beholden to them (Dems). GWB got apprx 40% of this vote in 2004. He strategically understood the need for the GOP to do so in the future as well. Our base, didn't, after not liking his tactical moves on the issue in 05/06.

Doom and gloom the sky is falling... waaa waaa waaa

Democrats have won elections, now they must govern. They will blow it, just as Republicans did.

We have an affirmative action president, he’s out of his league and it won’t take long for it to show. The democrats can’t help but overplay their hand, and they will quickly. Will 2010 be 1994? Maybe, maybe not, but there is little doubt they will overplay their hands, and be punished for it.

Economy dominated this election, well now they have no one else to blame, so 2 years from now, when we are dealing with truly bad recession/depression because some leftists couldn’t help but raise the taxes on the producers to 60%.. and make no mistake about it the Fauxbama tax plan is a 60% tax on the producers... they won’t get away with blaming it on Bush.

Wowzer, now that’s a worthy vanity.

All ten points are accurate. And it is indeed delusional to think that somehow, if we just get the “right” candidate and he just says all the “right” things, then he will magically get elected.

Oh, and you forgot to mention that demographers say that by 2012, about 50% of Americans will be on the dole. Excuse me, but on what basis would anyone believe that this majority would vote for that crazy /s idea of “limited government”? Once we reach that tipping point, it will be very difficult to halt the march toward textbook Socialism and beyond.
