“Smarter breed of Troll”? No, someone who will join the GOP regardless of your personal rigidity. My sugestions were ones of marketing for the party not a single one time candidate like McCain. The GOP has to find areas of common ground with a more diversified demographics and think it will and will to you chagrin succeed.

I appreciate your willingness to look behind the rhetoric and try and find out the fundamental problems and solutions facing America. You will run into a lot of rigidity here. For far too long our elected leaders in Washington have been willing to compromise conservative principles to try and find ‘common ground’. Senator McCain epitomizes this problem.

Every time the GOP has tried to appear centrist and “find areas of common ground with a more diversified demographics” it has lost. When Republicans try to sound like Democrats they lose. Badly. Every Democrat presidential candidate has tried to appear conservative. Why? Because America is still conservative. If you look at electoral history conservatism has won every time it is given a fair hearing. We just watched the GOP try to re brand itself following the formula you laid out.
