My first inclination is to paint a room, then sit and watch it dry. Offhand, I can't think of anything else happening on this date that would match in importance.

I actually think that’s a great idea for Freeping in the Obama era! No more separable and ignorable protests. And the ‘Billionaires for Bush’ were laughable in the wrong way. But infiltrating as “New Stalinists”, that is brilliant.
Can’t you just see the visuals? How your typical reporter would respond as the undercover Freeper describes his vision of the communist vision he expects Obama to realize—slowly of course due to bourgeois resistance!?!

Dittos on W. I didn’t agree on all his policies, but he certainly should not be treated the way he has. It still amazes me that the party of tolerance could be so hateful.

I actually stopped watching the news three weeks before the election, and still haven’t watched it. Didn’t even watch the election returns. Went to bed that night in ignorant bliss. I knew if I found out 0 had won before I went to bed, I wouldn’t sleep. The only news I’m getting is from Rush, Laura, Sean, and FreeRepublic. Although I have to say that FR has some pretty scary scenarios on it to the point I don’t know if I can keep reading the posts here either.

Had many here organized such ‘unity marches’ a few months ago, you wouldn’t need to be doing it this January!
I know. It makes me wonder whether FR could form working committees to promote such things as close primaries to Democrats and cut down on ACORN fraud next round.
Just like the Democrats formed the ‘Democratic Leadership Council’ from which the more moderate President Clinton’s campaign was launched, we might need to do something similar to get a less-RINO candidate backed. Otherwise the RINO party establishment will simply divide and conquer through the next round of primaries.
I’m due for a colonoscopy early next year. Maybe I’ll see if I can schedule it for that day as a symbolic gesture.
That would be a great start that could be pursued on a state-by-state basis. It would require the right leadership at the helm of the party and a change in the established primary process.
